Even though vodka originated in Europe, we love it so much here in the States that we’ve dedicated an entire day to celebrating it. Yep, October 4 is National Vodka Day. Here are four places where you can honor the popular spirit.

Minus5 Ice Bar
Virtually everything is made from ice at this bar, from the walls and the seats to the glasses and the bar itself. There are four locations in the U.S.; one in New York, two in Las Vegas, and one newly opened in Orlando. To get in, you have to purchase a package, starting at $14 per guest depending on location and package type. Basic packages include use of a pair of gloves and a parker, while premium packages get you a faux fur coat. Enjoy your vodka the way it was intended -- ice cold.

Epcot’s World Showcase
You may have heard about the Kidcot stations scattered throughout the World Showcase at Epcot, where kids can collect stamps and souvenirs from destinations "around the world.” But did you know there’s an adult alternative to this called Drinking Around the World, where guests of a certain age purchase drinks from the 11 pavilions? In Mexico, visitors can try a tequila flight at La Cava del Tequila or pair a bellini with your pizza at Tutto Italia Ristorante in Italy. On National Vodka Day, it only makes sense to quench your thirst with a Grey Goose slush from the drink cart in the France pavilion ($9-$10).

Red Square Restaurant and Vodka Lounge
This restaurant inside Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas is famous for its private vodka vault and expansive vodka collection. Prices here are a little steep -- cocktails start at $18 -- but to offset costs, stop by during the daily happy hour, between 4p.m. and 7 p.m., for complimentary vodka tastings.

A Mixology Class
Sure you know how to guzzle them, but do you know how to actually prepare your favorite cocktails? Get a three-hour  lesson in mixology from New York’s Institute of Culinary Education to impress your friends. The school offers several mixology courses, ranging from one to two sessions, depending on which one you choose. A one-session course costs $85-90 while the two-session "Bartending 101" lesson is $150. You can register for the classes on their website.
